Manager – Testing
Ensure Test strategizing & planning, budgeting, tracking and running the tests is as per the plans and within approved Budgets.
Ensure that all test teams have a pro-Active recognition of Risks, Risk Mitigation Planning, and Tracking of Mitigation actions.
Ensure tests are run as per the Quality Processes, and under the Governance structure agreed with all stake-holders in the Test Strategies and Test plans
Ensure that test leads and teams work closely with the delivery functions and comply with testing, configuration and release management processes for the projects responsible.
Ensure country UAT sign off is obtained within accepted deadlines
Job Description Job Purpose:

To ensure that test projects are managed end to end, from a technology as well as business deliverables perspective, and that UTG delivers High Quality Testing and country UAT sign offs within Budgets & timelines

Banking operations experience of about 6-7 years inclusive of general management experience of about 3-4 years is required.

Customer Focus

Being responsive to Customer needs, as well as managing Customer Expectations.
Ensure that all test requirements and changes are managed by the Test teams in a manner that impact of changes to the project well understood, and approval for making changes is provided only by the body empowered to do so after fully understanding the impact of the changes.
Establishing a relationship with key business users and IS teams and other stakeholders, in order to raise the awareness and visibility of UTG

Service Focus

Ensure that there are No defect escapes and High Severity incidents for all tests delivered, in subsequent phases and in production.
Ensure that the test teams and other stakeholders are adequately involved during the entire test project progress, and ensure the support provided to other teams and transitions is of the highest quality.
Be champions of the standard operating model and ensure implementation in countries
Be of support to the training team

Cost and Time to Market Focus

Drive down the testing costs and cycles by ensuring adequate use of tools, as well as use of re-usable components, knowledge base gained from UTG engagements.
Ensure that test projects are executed in a manner that the quality of the application tested and delivered is better, with smaller test cycles.

Leadership & Team Building

Build a team of competent and right skilled resources for delivering test projects efficiently.
Manage attrition, so that there is a No knowledge loss, and b No project impact due to attrition.

Quality Focus

Continuous Improvement in Productivity to the standards prescribed for the SCB Processes from time to time.
Upholding the Values of the Group and Company at all times
Ensuing that the Software Quality Management Practices, and policies laid down by SCB are strictly adhered to in all areas managed by the person.

Compliance

Compliance with all applicable Rules/ Regulations and Company and Group
Policies
Comply with Group Money Laundering Prevention Policy and Procedures to the extent applicable and reporting all suspicious Transactions to the Line Manager.
