Good understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols – TCP/IP, TR069, IGMP, QOS, VLAN, 802.1ah, DVLAN switching, SNMP, DHCP, 802.1x, PPP, PPPoE, link aggregation, OMCI, SSL, MPLS, PIM, OSPF, SIP, MGCP and OSPF.* Experienced in using Smartbits, IXIA or Abacus traffic generators.
* Experienced in configuring Managed switches and routers from vendors like Cisco, HP, Dell, etc.
* Experienced in preparing White box and black box test plans for testing Networking protocols.
* Fluent in test automation and scripting languages like TCL, Python, iTest, Bash, Perl, Expect and Aspect.
* Good verbal and written communication skills required.
* Ability to work across cultural and organizational boundaries.
* Quality and performance oriented.
Good to have skills:
* Passed CCNA and preferably CCNP.
* Familiar with Test Director / Quality Center.
* Experience in testing routers, switches, gateways, firewalls, etc.
* Experience with Linux operating systems.
Job Description
* Test Engineers and Sr Test Engineers required for Protocol testing on networking devices.
* The candidates should have the right aptitude to identify the required test cases to break the protocol modules and networking devices.
* He/She should also be having good skills to do test automation and as well as work with third party traffic generators, like Smartbits, IXIA, etc.
* The individual should be able to work individually or in a team environment and have good communication skills.
* Telecom/ Datacom and network sector competent.
