•Designing, planning, developing, editing, and maintaining test documentation with minimal supervision
•Working on large and complex testing assignments with minimal supervision.•Demonstrating advanced skills and understanding of technical communication, knowledge in multiple areas of the technical industry and grasping new technical information with minimal guidance.
•Developing and writing test procedures and final deliverables for review by the Manager. Maintaining list of outstanding bugs that relate to the software under test.
•Reporting bugs using the Support tool and stay in constant touch with the Product Manager to explain to them in details the procedure followed to create the bug and keep the Test Manager informed.
•Striving to become an “expert” on the product being tested and providing recommendations and ideas to the Managers.
•Resolving project issues effectively and successfully with project personnel.
•Basic knowledge of relational database concepts.
•Flexibility to carry out any other task required to meet business needs.
•Willingness to learn software’s related to testing e.g. Win Runner for automated testing.
•Analyze the performance after the completion and discuss with the team to make the testing methodology better and more streamlined.
•Restoring the test environment to test the software, every time the developers give a new version of the software to be tested.
You will report to a the Team Lead based in Mumbai and will stay in touch on a daily basis with the whole development team based in Europe to report software bugs or missing functionalities. You will be expected to qualify the compliance of software features with technical specifications document provided.
Person Specification
•Candidate should have good communication skills in English, both written and verbal and also excellent interpersonal skills.
•Have a masters or equivalent degree in Computers.
•Ability to be a good team player and work independently.
•A good understanding of test engineering lifecycle, and design or automation, is a key factor for success. Software development knowledge will be an added advantage.
