Software QA Engineer – SPARCS test builders

Desired Experience:
Experience working with STAF/STAX automated testing framework is nice to have.
Knowledge of ANT and Cruise control a plus
Working knowledge of Source code control system CVS, technologies like XML a plus
Knowledge of Code warrior IDE a plus.
Experience testing Supply chain, Warehousing or ERP applications a plus
Experience testing windows applications developed using C and databases like SQL

Desired Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
3-5 years of Experience testing windows and web applications
Experience with manual and Automated testing.
Experience working with one of the scripting language Perl/Python/Tcl.
Experience with testing methodologies (Functional, Regression, stress, Performance & User Acceptance) and stages in testing life cycle.
Experience reporting issues with any one of the defect tracking tools like Bugzilla, JIRA, Clarify etc
Ability to learn new technologies and testing tools.
Execute test cases, analyze and report results – make recommendations for improvements are a result.
Must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to execute tasks independently and within a team environment.
Must demonstrate a history of strong initiative and attention to detail.
Excellent analytical, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Job Description:
Creating Automated test scripts for a windows application developed using C
Create QA test plans, test cases, status reports, and exit reports, as well as document and track implementation and core product defects during implementation of projects.
Execute test scripts on a daily basis and report issues in the defect tracking system.
Work with developers for resolving the issues.
Create local builds using ANT and source code control system when required.
Perform Functional and Regression testing of application for each build.
Convert existing test scripts compatible with newer versions of the application.
