Conduct manual functional and regression tests for modified and new Survey applications

Develop and maintain test specifications, processes and scripts

Schedule, run and validate automated test scripts

· Document and prioritize application bugs working closely with developers to resolve bugs in an efficient manner

· Assist with developing internal and external documentation when needed

· Provide application support to production teams when needed

· Assist with internal training when needed

· Participate in daily meetings

· Maintain and increase knowledge and skills pertaining to field through training and study

· Perform projects and other duties as assigned
Job Description

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will help define, prioritize, schedule and deliver updated and new features/applications. The responsibilities include creating and maintaining test specifications, test processes and test scripts, conduct tests on applications to ensure they function properly and document bugs where appropriate. You will work closely with all members on the development team including developers and other Software QA Engineers. You will also have the opportunity to work with the production team to provide application support when necessary. Providing technical guidance and assisting with training is also required. You need to be extremely detail oriented with strong communications skills.

This position currently reports to the development manager and may be restructured in conjunction with other positions that Kenexa Survey Systems will define in the future.

Goals:

To meet and/or exceed Kenexa Survey’s development goals and service level commitments, the Software Quality Assurance Engineer will accomplish and demonstrate proficiency in the following tasks:

External responsibilities

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in a related field with at least 3 years experience and demonstrated competency in:

· Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle required

· Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required

· Knowledge of Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape, Google Chrome browsers required

· Experience with functional, regression, integration and system testing required

· Knowledge of the Survey applications and processes beneficial but not required

· Experience with load testing beneficial but not required

· Experience with Microsoft Visual Basic beneficial but not required

· Experience with SQL Server Management Studio beneficial but not required

· Experience with Borland SilkTest beneficial but not required

· Experience with Agile methods beneficial but not required
