a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience;
three or more years of QA experience;strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools;
the ability to understand functional/technical specifications and analyze data;
Experience writing test plans required
scripting skills in Perl, Python, JavaScript, and/or Ruby and user-level automation;
familiarity with Java and/or C++;
strong organizational and problem solving skills with great attention to detail, including the ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize the results;
innovation and initiative to improve test coverage and effectiveness.
Job Description
The International Retail team is building a team to define, design and develop an exciting new product that will directly impact Amazon’s topline growth. Our QA team will play a pivotal role in this program, with the mission to build and execute a streamlined QA process for the new business initiative. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a team that will be responsible for building a successful, sustainable and strategic business for Amazon, from the ground up. The goal of our QA team is to build a comprehensive test suite that will be utilized to validate the product in a scalable and efficient way. In this role, you will have the opportunity to not just execute, but also design and define the QA product, leveraging expertise from teams across Amazon’s software platform.
Our QA Engineers will regularly work with Product Managers, Project Managers and SDEs to understand features and technical implementation. During the development cycle, the QAE identifies use cases and creates test plans, defines test strategies and create test cases to validate software design via manual and automated tests; these tests are applied throughout the development and launch cycles. The QA team will work with cross-functional teams across the platform to resolve and validate any issues uncovered during the integration test cycle.
