At least 7-10 years of experience in QA testing including at least 2 years of experience in leading/managing multiple projects & a team.
B.E./BTech/MCA and above from a reputed engineering institute equivalent to NITs and above.
Preferable from a reputed product based MNC.
About the Role
QA Project Lead – Testing & leading Supportability QA projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Testing Client-Server application, web application and console based application (Both Windows & UNIX based).
2. Lead multiple QA projects.
3. Use test coverage tool and analyze the coverage report.
4. QA planning, tracking & metrics reporting.
5. Interface within the team and management.
6. Address customer (McAfee Product teams, Techsupport, External customers) issues and questions, as needed.
Competencies / Skill sets required for the role:Technical Skills:
1. Expertise in Client-Server application, web application and console based application testing.
2. Able to take responsibility for and deliver on day to day test script assignments and work allocation.
3. Ability to lead inspections on test documentation as well as other project documentation.
4. Good understanding of QA metrics
5. Basic understanding of project planning and tracking.
6. Effective project status reporting.
7. Able to analyze defects and propose solutions.
8. Effectively handle bug scrubs. Prioritize bugs and make product quality assessment based on bug scrubs.
9. Able to assess ship-worthiness of the product.
10. Train junior members of the team to write appropriate test plans and other QA processes.
11. Experience in writing/understanding VB script & XML.
12. Ability to setup test lab or test environment.
13. Experience in network configuration, imaging software, VPC/VMware.
14. Good understanding of performance testing.
15. Should have used VC supported Test coverage tools.
