QA – Manager

10 years of QA and Testing experience
5 years sr. level management experience (Sr. QA Manager or QA Director) in the Quality Assurance and Testing field
5 years consulting experience
Sr. level program management experience, i.e. able to manage a portfolio of projects concurrently
Under the direction of the QA & Testing practice leadership, build and manage a Testing practice in India to support TEKsystems globally outsourced projects.
Serve as SME during the sales process
In conjunction with delivery and sales personnel; gather, document, and confirm Client Requirements
Perform continual risk assessment from both the client and TEKsystems’ perspectives and manage mitigation strategies where appropriate
Design solutions for client based on requirements, including:
oScope
oService(s)
oResource Requirements
oEstimation
oSchedule
oAssumptions, Dependencies, and Contingencies

Develop proposals and statements of work (SOWs) in conjunction with sales personnel
Schedule projects
Provide resource requirements to recruiting resources
Interview, hire, and orientate new resources
Prepare new resources for engagements
Perform Resource Management activities throughout engagements
Review and approve all deliverables provided to clients
Perform Hours Reporting Management for assigned resources
Establish and maintain project Change Control Process
Establish and maintain project Escalation Procedures
Establish and maintain project Cost Containment Procedures
Establish and maintain project Knowledge Management Procedures
Assist with management-/executive-level reports to clients
Provide ongoing solution consulting to clients
Identify and manage new opportunities in existing accounts in coordination with sales personnel
Review sales strategy for current accounts with sales personnel on a scheduled basis
Provide input into the design, development and improvement of service offerings; training programs; internal processes; and business alliance and marketing strategies
Must have strong experience in delivering outsourced, globally distributed solutions from India (or similar environment) for US-based clients
Must have a pragmatic approach to QA and Testing and be able to successfully execute projects in dynamic, less mature software development environments
Strong knowledge of how QA and Testing tools can be best utilized in a particular SDLC and/or technical environment
Experience managing the implementation of QA and Testing tools from vendors such as Mercury, Segue, Rational, etc
Excellent verbal and written communication in English
Excellent analysis and problem solving skills
Pluses
oTesting practice development and management
oSoftware development experience
oProposal and/or Statement of Work development experience
oSDLC certifications (CMM, Six Sigma, etc.)
oMembership in quality organizations (QAI, SQE, etc.)
