Experience & Qualifications
6-8 years in testing experience in product related companies
Extremely good understanding of networking concepts.
Understanding of Vulnerability Management, Policy Compliance desirable.
Hands on experience with security
Extensive experience in testing complex product architecture for large systems.
Good Knowledge of Unix, Linux, Windows OS
Exposure to QTP, Quality Centre
CCNA/CCNP/RHCE desirable
Expertise in one or multiple of the following Performance testing, Security testing, SQL database, White box. Experience in Network configuration, imaging software, VMWare
About the Role:
The role involved formulating test strategies, establishing and improving QA process/procedures, creating test plans/test cases, and all activities aimed at improving the customer experience with the product.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Understand the product/feature requirements in depth
2. Research related technology areas and come up with test strategy/test plans
3. Test plan development and documentation
4. Be able to interact with different teams and work with them in resolving bugs, ensuring that the product meets the quality expectations
5. Test / guide the team in testing the product to meet the quality expectations
Competencies / Skill sets required for the role:1. Clear understanding of SDLC, QA Process, Defect lifecycle
2. Familiarity with bug tracking system like Bugzilla
3. Good communication skills and ability to work across product, functions and locations to deliver product on time.
