BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline
7+ years Software Engineering.
2+ years experience as a QA Lead
Experience in writing test plans, test strategies and detailed test cases (positive, negative, boundary, etc.)* Programming experience (preferably Java programming *2-3 years of hands-on).
* Experience with SQL and good understanding of database concepts.
* Experience in working with Unix platforms and in writing scripts using Shell Script, Python or Perl
* Knowledge of internet and e-business processes, disciplines and standards such as JS, XML, HTTPS, AJAX, MVC, Web Servers, Application Servers, etc
* Load testing experience is plus.
* Experience with test automation and test scripting experience a plus (Rational Functional Tester, WinRunner, Junit, HttpUnit)
* Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall, iterative)
* Must have experience in managing and working with distributed team members
* Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills.

Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
QA Lead will be responsible for participating in all QA phases of product releases. Candidate must have analytical and problem-solving skills to help validate the implementation of products against functional and technical specifications and assist other members of the QA teams through careful planning and testing. Should be able to take project and maintenance releases from strategy to completion of testing and rollout.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Perform detailed analysis of the application architecture and propose an approach for end to end testing.
* Provides necessary definition, development and deployment of product quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development.
* Manages the planning and execution of product testing efforts, including all associated resources to meet committed delivery dates.
* Directly supervises quality assurance engineers and testers including the preparation and delivery of staff performance evaluations and career development activities.
* Implements ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teams.
* Maintains product consistency throughout product cycle, to include the design, define and build phases through quality checkpoints and testing.
* Develop and manage quality assurance metrics for performance improvement of all teams.
* Troubleshoot production support issues as needed.
* Provides effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan
