Senior QA Engineer – HiQube

4 years work experience in BI product suite with strong knowledge in

ETL
Data Model Design
Report and Analysis

1 years experience with QA principles and software development life cycle process improvement practices.
Strong communication skills (verbal/written) – the ability to articulate clearly and succinctly to a variety of audiences (PMs, Technical Specialists, Developers, Architects, etc)
Commercial testing experience with cross-platform applications in a heterogeneous mix of Windows, UNIX and Linux systems
Excellent communication and people skills; excellent time management and organizational skills
BE in Computer Science/Information Systems. Formal background in QA methodology, tools and the state-of-the-art area is a definite plus.

Job Description Altair has HiQube a high-performance business intelligence (BI) software solution. Its unique HiQube data engine technology quickly delivers in-depth business analysis capability and superior reporting .We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and innovative HiQube QA Engineer who can help us to build a successful product.

Job Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance of HiQube product. Write detailed Test Plans; develop test conditions; identify manual/automated test procedures for various functions and applications; record and track software defects through in-house bug tracking tool.
Collaborate with US development team. Participate in regular product meetings pertaining to the entire software development process with the intent of extracting and implementing quality assurance requirements.
Standardize, document and implement an effective QA process. Apply best practices in quality assurance of software products, implement delivering projects on time, on budget, and with good quality
Be adaptive. Be productive quickly in a new environment that is fast paced. Learn new processes and multiple technologies. “Roll up your sleeves” and do what needs doing.

In addition, the following strengths are desired:

Strong experience with SQL or any of the relational database management tool
Any scripting/programming language knowledge
Web Application based product knowledge
Proficiency in any of the major QA test management & automated testing tools such as: LoadRunner, QTP, Winrunner, Silk, Test Director Etc.
Personal experience with Load & Performance testing of enterprise software. Should have used one or more tools for testing the same.
Detailed oriented and processes the ability to work independently and/or with little supervision in a fast paced results driven environment

B Tech / M.Tech. in Computer Science or a related field with 4 years of relevant experience
Experience 4 – 6 Years
