Minimum requirements
Hands on experience defining and implementing test strategy and test automation process for large scale enterprise solutions
Very good understanding of common BSD and linux tools and test suites (stream, lmbench, powertop, LTP/LTT/LBT..)Prior experience testing OS releases/snapshots
Experience with debuggers, profiling and tracing tools (gdb, valgrind, oprofile, systemtap, dtrace)
- Knowledge of scripting languages like shell, python and perl
- Experience dealing with OS distributions and organizations (especially FreeBSD/RH/Fedora/Suse)
- Understanding of rpms, yum, package dependencies, installation and upgrade process
- Good understanding of disk/network performance tradeoffs and measurements, caching strategies and memory usage
- Build and Configuration Management exposure with Subversion
- Experience with defect tracking systems (Bugzilla) and other software life cycle management tools
- Demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills in a fast paced industry
Preferred requirements –
- Bachelor degree in CS or related technical discipline
- Experience working with both native and virtualized environments (chroots, VMs)
- Experience with Apache and internet technologies
